RCT (the Office for Rehabilitation of Victims of Torture)
RCT has supported Para Nunca Olvidar economically as well as morally.
In 1999 together with ODHAG (The Human Rights Office of the Catholic Church
in Guatemala) RCT initiated a psycho-social rehabilitation project for
a total of DKK 32 mill. The project includes seven of the countries' dioceses
hardest hit by the war. Barefoot doctors participate in courses on treatment
of victims of violence, in order to ease crises locally and collaborate
on psycho-social rehabilitation. Their goal is to reach about 8,000-9,000
of the traumatized victims of war by the year 2002.
